Mykonos is an island of the Aegean sea and belongs to Cyclades. It is, also, an united insularity along with Dilos, Reinia and some skerries and with those Mykonos already from the 5th century BC has shared a rich and long history.
Since the 50s, Mykonos remains one of the most popular destination of the Mediterranean, and the whole world. From then and until today the wild touristic and cosmopolitan movement kept Mykonos in the spotlight, with many celebrities arriving every year.
The town of Mykonos, commonly known as Chora, impresses and fascinates the visitor from the first second, thanks to beautiful view, scale and architecture. However, despite the large touristic revolution, Mykonos has managed to keep, like no other the cycladic countenance, many of the traditional elements. The trademark of the island are the windmills, they are there a few centuries, and also the alleys with the whitewashed cobblestones, with main center the commercial and cosmopolitan Matogianni, where one can find designer clothes, jewels and works of art.
One of Mykonos gems is Little Venice, in Chora, the ideal place after your swim to enjoy your coffee or a refreshing cocktail, with view the sunset, from that point is magical. The name Little Venice came from the incredible resemblance of the area with Venice, Italy.
Mykonos can combine all sort of tastes to the most, from crystal clear waters to organized or not, to remote beaches, exceptional food for all the appetites, fun for every taste from a casual walk to the alleys to staying up until dawn.
►TIP: We recommend your stay on the island for at least 4 days.
